(Washington, D.C.) – Military Hire announced today that it is supporting a U.S. Department of State effort to recruit, educate, and prepare candidates for the Foreign Service Officer Test (FSOT) — the gateway examination for entry into the U.S. Foreign Service.
The effort aligns with the Administration’s Merit Hiring Plan and Executive Order 14170, Reforming the Federal Hiring Process and Restoring Merit to Government Service, which directs federal agencies to recruit highly capable, mission-driven Americans of skill, dedication, and commitment to American ideals, and to expand strategic partnerships that broaden access to early-career and veteran talent.
Foreign Service Officers represent the United States in nearly every country in the world, advancing American interests through diplomacy, consular service, economic engagement, and public outreach.
Military Hire will lead candidate-facing recruitment activities throughout the cycle — from initial outreach through test day — identifying and engaging patriotic, high-achieving candidates and guiding them through the path to the FSOT. The company will draw on its national network of veterans, transitioning service members, university and ROTC partners, and civic-minded early-career talent.
Candidates interested in learning more about the Foreign Service Officer Test, or in joining Military Hire’s FSO talent network, can reach out to [email protected] or visit dos.mhire.us/fso to find out more.
